Financing of Small and Medium Companies Sector

• As the regulator of the financial markets sector, the CMA is exerting intensive efforts to support the evolution of a strong financial sector that can provide capital more effectively to the private sector, along with focusing on its long-term strategic objectives.
• Providing a supportive regulatory environment for the innovative alternative financing methods that involve the use of financial technology.
• The CMA cooperates closely with other partners to consider innovative ideas for the use of securitization and other financial instruments to provide new channels for small and medium companies to access capital markets and allow individual investors to invest in this fast growing sector
• The cma is currently studying some projects in this regard, including the establishment of (second) markets or separate platforms for listing and trading of equity and debt securities for small and medium companies and developing companies along with the adoption of mitigated and less burdensome regulatory requirements.
• Supporting other financing methods such as private equity and venture capital.
