Initiative 1:
The Authority has encouraged and supported the representation of women on the boards of local publicly listed companies by amending the Chairman's Decision No. (3/R.M) of 2020 regarding the approval of the Governance Guide for Public Joint Stock Companies. The criteria for candidacy to the board of directors were outlined in Clause (3) of Article (9) as follows: "The company’s articles of association shall determine the formation of the board of directors, the number of members, and the duration of membership, provided that the representation of women on the board is not less than one member. The company is also required to disclose this representation in the annual governance report."
Initiative 2:
Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at increasing the participation of women on the boards of directors of public joint stock companies in financial markets, in order to meet the target percentage as per the Chairman's Decision No. (3/R.M) of 2020, and in accordance with the national indicators of the United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the following entities:

- UAE Gender Balance Council
