The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) signed an MoU with the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) to promote mutual cooperation. The MoU was signed between H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, CEO of SCA, and H.E. Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of DSC.
The MoU provides for the exchange of experiences and cooperation with respect to the initiatives and activities that promote positivity, employee loyalty, and workplace happiness, in addition to launching joint initiatives, as part of the National Program for Happiness and Positivity.
It also provides for the exchange of local and international studies published by credible and accredited institutions on happiness and wellbeing, in addition to sharing statistics relating to local and foreign investors’ trust in UAE-based capital markets.
Dr. Al Zaabi said that entering into this MoU comes in light of the mutual desire on both sides to contribute to the country’s economic development plans and efforts. It also comes as both sides believe that mutual collaboration will contribute to domestic development. He added that this MoU intends to explore avenues for cooperation, thus maximizing happiness and positivity at the professional level.
Dr. Al Zaabi praised DSC’s role, being an official source for the collection, classification, and analysis of data and statistical information in Dubai, in addition to preparing and publishing statistical reports and conducting surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires.
For his part, H.E. Al Muhairi said that achieving happiness has become the country’s strategic orientation. Undoubtedly, achieving happiness and welfare requires the combined effort of government entities and integrated strategies. It also requires transparency in the transfer of experience and successful experiments, which is our aim from entering into this MoU. On our part, we will harness our capacities to support SCA’s happiness and positivity initiatives and will make use of SCA’s successes in this respect to promote happiness and positivity among our employees, customers, partners, and concerned parties.
