The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) received Best Smart Applications Award in the two categories of Overall Level of Performance (Diamond Award) and Official and Government Entities at the UAE level at the Smart Government Award competition held in Kuwait. The competition was organized as part of the forum held by the Pan Arab Excellence Award Academy under the auspices of the Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in collaboration with the Central Agency for Information Technology in Kuwait.

H.E. Mohammed Khalifa Al Hadari, Deputy CEO for Organizational and Supporting Services at SCA, received the award from H.E. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah, the Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs. Winners were selected against approved international criteria.

Commenting on winning the award, H.E. Abdulla Al Turifi, SCA CEO, said: "winning such award comes as part of our sustained efforts aimed at diversifying service channels and facilitating service delivery to all our clients in financial markets. This also comes in line with the directives of the UAE's wise leadership to transition to a smart government, provide automated services, and communicate with clients via smart devices in a digital environment."

Al Turifi emphasized that "SCA was the first to promote the use of smart applications to take advantage of modern technologies and facilitate the completion of procedures, the follow-up on the status of transactions and licenses, and the introduction of investments opportunities, and so many other activities."

"The SCA smart services were designed to enable all clients to complete procedures and transactions readily and quickly at any time and without the need to be physically present at the SCA main and branch offices. The SCA smart applications are characterized by their attractive, flexible, and user-friendly design through which information can be obtained easily and accurately", Al Turifi added.

For his part, Al Hadari emphasized that "the SCA smart services provide true opportunities for clients (whether investors or officers from public joint-stock companies, securities brokerage companies, commodities brokerage companies, or financial services companies such as financial consultation and financial analysis companies, custodians, private joint-stock companies share registrar, mutual funds, etc.) as they can interact fully with all of the smart services and solutions provided by us and complete procedures and transactions via the 16 smart services we provide."

Al Hadari expressed his happiness over winning the award and added: "winning the award next to various Arab government entities and institutions reflects the values of integration and harmony among them and provides room for the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and ideas to enable us to better serve our clients."
