A delegation from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) visited Wahat Al Karama, a memorial site built to commemorate the sacrifices of the UAE brave martyrs and serves as a symbol of pride, dignity, and giving oneself for the country.

Led by H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, Acting CEO of SCA, the delegation included H.E. Mohammed Al Hadari, Deputy CEO for Organizational and Supporting Services, in addition to SCA's department managers, section heads, and employee representatives.

The delegation started its Wahat Al Karama tour standing before the Memorial, which comprises 31 aluminum-clad tablets, each leaning on the other, and serves as a symbol of unity; synergy; and cohesion between the UAE leadership and its people and of strength; bravery; and determination that characterize those people. The delegation also toured the Pavilion of Honor, which consists of plates engraved with the names of the martyrs and some information about them, along with verses from the Quran. It also boasts a composition of panels engraved with the Pledge of Allegiance of the Armed Forces.

The delegation also toured the Memorial Plaza, a wide, circular space used to host national events and boasts a circular pool of water at its center.

Dr. Al Zaabi lauded the establishment of Wahat Al Karama, being a symbol of pride in the UAE brave martyrs. He indicated that this visit embodies the principles of national unity and stressed that we all stand together with our wise leadership, defending our humanitarian and civilizational values, and added: “We are, at this moment, filled with pride in the great sacrifices of our brave martyrs". At the end of the visit, the delegation read Al Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, praying to Allah to have mercy upon them.
