Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) participated in the country's celebrations of the Flag Day. H.E. Mohammed Khalifa Al Hadari, Deputy CEO, raised the flag of UAE on the flag platform in front of the headquarter of the SCA in the presence of departments and sections directors as well as the SCA’s employees.
On this occasion, H.E. Mohammed Al Hadari, on behalf of H.E Dr. Maryam Al Suwaidi – SCA’s CEO, gave a speech in front of the audience in which he said: “Celebrating the Flag Day is a precious national occasion to the hearts of the citizens of UAE, as the Flag tells the story of a homeland and a people, embodies a symbol of the national identity at its best and is a title for pride, glory and honor meanings. In this glorious day of our history, we bring the highest meanings of unity, coherence and belonging to the country's precious soil and to loyalty to his wise leadership.”
He added: “In this precious day, we take inspiration to our hearts from the sacrifices of our brave soldiers who defended our homeland and gave their lives to its pure soil to keep the UAE’s Flag lofty and proud. We promise our wise leadership to double the efforts and hard sincere work so that our precious homeland continues its leadership, take its rightful place always and forever in the forefront of the nations and remain a beacon of global coexistence and tolerance.”
Al Hadari concluded by praying that “may Allah protect the UAE leadership, government and people, and that the UAE’s Flag remains high as a symbol for unity of the nation and a source of its pride and dignity.
The SCA’s employees in Abu Dhabi witnessed the ceremony and raising the Flag virtually through the live broadcast by the videoconference. The SCA headquarters and employees’ offices were decorated by the UAE’s Flags in appreciation of what the Flag represents including the values of national belonging and loyalty to the wise leadership.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a documentary film was displayed about the Flag on the SCA’s social media accounts, collective commemorative photos were taken under the flagpole and a set of dishes and drinks that express the UAE’s heritage were served.
