In line of the efforts exerted by the Securities & Commodities Authority to uplift and develop the performance of the financial market through sharing of experiences with the advanced financial institutions, H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, Acting CEO of the SCA, received NASDAQ-New York delegate,chaired by Paul Mcqueen, Deputy CEO/ Chief of Market Technology Sales Sector at NASDAQ.

During the meeting, they explored means of enhancing the mutual cooperation to enable the development and exchange of experiences related to the financial services industry among the UAE financial markets and NASDAQ Stock Market.

The meeting addressed the status of the financial markets in the UAE and the USA and examined areas of cooperation with regard to the development of electronic control systems on the tradings via SMART system, and developing the partnership with NASDAQ with regard to the areas of development of the financial technology and Block Chain applications in the control and supervisory systems as well as bilateral cooperation in relation to the development and upgrade of the clearing and settlement system.
