Dr.  Al Zaabi called upon the investors in the financial markets to know and practice their rights in relation to the General Assembly meetings or toward the Board of Directors of the companies where they hold shares.

This was part of the lecture hosted by Al Zaab Council under the title “Investors’ Rights in the Financial Markets” which was attended by H.E. Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.E. Younis Hagy Khouri, Deputy Minister of Finance, and some of the notables and people of Al Zaab area.

The Chief Executive Officer of the SCA presented the key rights of shareholders in the public shareholding companies, such as the right to receive a percentage of the profits, the right to vote on the resolutions, and the right to sue the Board of Directors in the event of taking actions that would damage the rights of shareholders, among other rights.
