His Excellency Abdullah Al-Turifi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), praised the initiative of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to send an airlift of urgent aid from the UAE to thousands of refugees in snowstorm-hit Jordan, Lebanon, Gaze Strip, and the rest of Palestinian territories to help them survive the severe winter, heavy rains, and chilly temperatures.

 H.E. Al-Turifi noted that the wise leadership of the UAE proves, day after day, that the country is leading the developmental effort, thus solidifying its status as the largest official donor over the past years.

H.E. Al-Turifi noted that the UAE has become synonymous for generosity and kindness. The orders of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai to the relevant authorities to instantaneously carry out the directives of UAE President to send an airlift of winter aid is an evidence that the UAE helps its brothers everywhere and that reliving pain and suffering is the core of its policy and a reflection of the values and principles of solidarity, brotherhood, and compassion.

 Al-Turifi concluded by saying: "the UAE has always been synonymous for generosity in the humanitarian field. Undoubtedly, the noble initiative of the wise leadership of the UAE stems from an insightful vision. The country's leadership in humanitarian aid is a source of pride to all Emiratis and an achievement added to the UAE's record of providing physical and spiritual aid and care".
