The Securities & Commodities Authority will host the meeting of the IOSCO African-Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC) in Abu Dhabi.Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, Acting CEO of the SCA, stated that the meeting, which is held for the first time in the United Arab Emirates, includes international experts from different IOSCO-member states that represent the financial markets authorities in the Middle East and Africa. Participants in the ISOCO meeting include Paul Andrews, IOSCO Secretary-General. The meeting will be held at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on the 14th of February.

Dr. Al Zaabi added that SCA will hold an international professional conference on the second day of the meeting that will include a selection of the international experts specialized in the financial markets, finance, and the knowledge economy. Prominent members at the IOSCO African-Middle East Regional Committee with attend the conference sessions and take part in administration of the session. Further, the SCA’s partners in the local financial markets and the Gulf and Arab financial markets authorities will attend the sessions.
