Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi honors 46 employees for successfully completing the requirements of the Financial Supervision for Future Leaders Program

Dr. Al Zaabi said that the training program is part of SCA's initiatives and ongoing efforts to apply the concepts of excellence, creativity, and innovation and to adopt the best administrative and professional practices as well as the most efficient and developed working methods.
He explained that the program focuses on having its participants apply the concepts learned and the skills acquired in order to enhance performance and improve work procedures. Dr. Al Zaabi said that the program was specifically tailored for SCA's national employees to train them to be future leaders in the securities field and that it generally aims at improving their competencies, developing their capacities, and building on their technical expertise in all areas of interest to SCA, including licensing, supervision, registration, issuance, and financial analysis.
The program also focuses on practical training and career counselling and guidance.
Participants were involved in ten training workshops focusing on personal and professional development in these areas: capital markets, brokerage business, compliance, market regulations, and innovation.
This program— delivered by international experts and instructors—classifies participants according to their performance efficiency and leadership skills.
Among the key topics addressed at the workshop were world financial markets, international regulatory standards, international auditing standards, accounting standards, and dealing with fraud and money laundering. As part of the program, participants took part in courses to earn professional certification in: the UAE rules and regulations, risks facing the financial services sector, international securities, and operational risks facing financial institutions.
The Financial Supervision for Future Leaders Program is held regularly every month, as part of a three-year plan. It focuses, in its first stage, on building technical expertise and on continuous learning in its second stage. It is planned that the program will be linked with a project aimed at finding and managing talents in the financial sector.
