Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, Acting CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), delivered the keynote speech at the second day of the 2017 Euromoney Emirates Conference kicked off yesterday in Sharjah. The conference brought together 35 speakers, including economic policy makers; finance, investment, and financial legislation strategists; private and public mutual fund managers from the UAE and abroad; and more than 350 specialists in the economy, strategy, and innovation fields.

The conference was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, and in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Essam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation. It was jointly organized by the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah) and Euromoney Conferences, which is Euromoney's event arm, a global, reliable source for the latest information and economic and investment analyses.

The conference, titled “Finance and Investment for an innovative Economy", derives its significance from the topics addressed and the big-name speakers, including economic and executive experts from various economic sectors, such as the banking, aviation, investment, and energy sectors, as well as free zones.
